Canada has committed to reduce our green-house gas (GHG) emissions between 2005 and 2050 by 80%.  This long term goal is backed up by intermediate goals for 2020 and 2030.   There a number of technical issues still being worked out – mainly for Land use, land-use change, and forestry (LULUCF) but the goals are clear, we have a lot to do and not much time to make the changes needed.  At the Paris Climate conference, our Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau set out our commitments to reducing the impact of climate change.
